General information
Cresset House is a community which provides a 'home away from home' for adults living with intellectual disabilities. There is always a hive of activity in our community. From our villagers daily activities, to corporates and small business investing their time to us through partnerships, social initiatives and sustainability projects.
Founded in 1961 on a large property in Carlswald, Kyalami, initially as a school for children with intellectual disabilities Cresset decided t meet the increasing demand for facilities offering care to adults with intellectual disabilities by changing the focus of its facility.
Today we have over 50 villagers who form part of our family, and together we live in on a property situated in Glen Austin, Midrand. Our community is home to villagers from a diversity of cultures and nationalities, making Cresset House a place of warmth, stimulation and nurture for those that call it home.
