Halse, Havemann and Lloyd has been practicing since 1967, i.e. for 44 years and has firmly established itself as one of the top leading firms in Kwazulu- Natal and Gauteng.

The firm is best known for its conveyancing department which has provided and continues to provide excellent service in property transfers, registration of mortgage- and notarial bonds and generally in all types of conveyancing matters and in property law, including specialist expertise in drafting property related agreements and advising thereon and ancillary property law subjects.

The firm has been on major Bank panels, as to Absa (initially Trust Bank) from 1969 and as to Standard Bank from 1997.

THE PARTNERS

JOHANNES JOCHEMIS LLOYD

Having served Articles of Clerkship at the State Attorney, he became partner of Halse, Havemann & Partners (as the firm was then known) and which became Halse, Havemann & Lloyd. He is based at The Bluff and has been the firm’s managing partner for many years. He specializes in estates, general litigation and the marketing of the firm.

PAUL STEFANUS ROBBERTSE

He was employed as a State Prosecutor at the Durban Magistrate’s Court andjoined the firm in 1980 when he served Articles of Clerkship, was thereafter appointed as a Professional Assistant and ultimately became a Partner. In 1989 when he left the firm to practice in Gauteng and re-joined the firm in 2004 as senior partner. He is based at Pinetown and specializes in commercial law, High Court litigation and conveyancing.

LLEWELLYN ROBIN STUDTI

He joined the firm in July 2004 when served Articles of Clerkship and was subsequently appointed as a Professional Assistant. He became a partner in August 2008 and is based at Randburg and specializes in commercial law, general litigation and income tax, having obtained a Higher Tax Diploma from University. He is also an admitted Conveyancer.

SHANEL SINGH

She joined the firm in January 2000 when she served Articles of Clerkship and was subsequently appointed as a Professional Assistant. She became a partner in August 2008 and is based at Pinetown. She specializes in the administration of deceased estates (she has a diploma in the administration of deceased estates), collections and acting for correspondents in litigation.
