General information
Egoli Gas (Pty) Ltd is the sole licensed piped natural gas distributor in the Greater
Johannesburg Metropolitan Area. It supplies approximately 8,000 consumers with Natural Piped Gas.
Natural gas is supplied by Sasol Gas via high-pressure pipelines from the Temane Fields in Mozambique. The gas is stored at the high-pressure, bulk storage facility at Langlaagte where the gas intake as well as its distribution, is automatically controlled.
Our reticulation infrastructure comprises of an underground high and low-pressure piped network extending for 1,200 kilometers.
As of July 2010, we have a total staff complement of +140 people, with a turnover value of over R220 million
