The reality is that implementation and management of these workplace programmes add a tremendous amount of administration to a company’s workload. Different requirements from stakeholders such as professional bodies/statutory councils (for registration and CPD), universities of technology (for Work Integrated Learning) and Sector Education and Training Authorities (for funding/ internships) also complicate the role of employers as learning providers. Unfortunately workplace programmes are no longer a ‘nice-to-have’ but ensure that expertise can effectively be passed down from one generation of staff to the next. It is also fast becoming a key to addressing South Africa’s demand for professionals in all sectors of the economy.

HOW IT WORKS

This intuitive, easy to use online system available on computers or smart phones provides profession or occupation specific structured activities and content to interns/candidates/micro enterprises / contract workers/professionals, their mentors as well as their company coordinators (HR). It also provides instruments to upload their portfolio of evidence (e.g. reporting and assessment) as well as enables real time monitoring and reporting of progress against deliverables. All activities are structured to comply with the funder e.g. SETA and statutory council/professional body requirements but can be further tailored to incorporate client specific needs and portals. Workplace PROgrammes therefore assists organisations to ensure quality delivery against standards whilst saving time and cutting costs. This is achieved by increasing the effectiveness of delivery of the programmes, reducing administration, sharing resources (such training clips and learning material) as well as allowing mentors & supervisors to remotely assess, verify and review evidence submitted by their interns/students/candidates/professionals.
