General information

Ernst Merry founded Verotech in 1990. His experience in service an repair of high voltage test equipment made him the preferred service technician and his growing knowledge soon placed Verotech at the forefront of the Power Diagnostics industry.

In 1992 Verotech expanded its services to meet the growing demand for both Fault Finding Field services and safe reliable equipment. The name changed to Verotest- “the true leader in Power Cable Diagnostics”- and with it followed rapid growth in the size, scope and complexity of the Company. In these early years Verotest researched and developed various Fault finding equipment, manufactured customized equipment and designed specialized equipment and solutions to meet customers’ needs.

Ending 1995, Verotest became a closed Corporation and with it grew the company vision of the tremendous opportunities that the future of power in Africa has to offer.

The strive to stay at the forefront of the Power diagnostics industry soon sparked interest from other international market leaders and in 1996 Verotest formed alliances with the German based company and world leader in developing and manufacturing of High Voltage Test Equipment - SEBA KMT - to become the sole supplier in Africa.
In 1998 the offices moved to the fastest growing city in South Africa- Midrand. A bigger, better workshop, large offices, conference facility and cable test field followed. The SebaKMT brand was elevated to the most widely recognized and trusted brand in South Africa and Verotest as the preferred service provider in South African Power industries.

Verotest Holdings (PTY) LTD was registered in 2006 and in October 2009 Vero-Training was born as a division of Verotest Holdings. Vero- Training received their ESETA accreditation in March 2010.
