Chaplins Optometrists has been looking after the eye care needs of the Johannesburg city folk for more than 40 years.
We really do take a personal interest in our patients’ vision and eye health.

We love the fashion aspect of eyewear and believe that spectacles should be exciting, good looking and confidence inspiring. Importantly, we take great care in ensuring that the spectacles are well suited to the individual’s face and that the frames fit properly and comfortably.

We offer a wide range of optical frames and sunglasses: from high quality generic frames to all the top-end brands, such as Tom Ford, Tag Heuer, Marc Jacobs, Hugo Boss, Superdry, Nine West, Sissy Boy, Guess, Lacoste, Diesel, Oakley, Max Mara , and many more. Being fashionable does not necessarily mean expensive, as value for money is all important whether you’re interested in budget or high end spectacles.
We go out of our way to assist our patients with convenient payment terms. As such, we accept medical aids and liase with them directly on behalf of our patients. We also allow credit where patients need their spectacles but can’t afford to pay for them up front.
