Japac Water Barrier products were born out of a necessity to meet diverse requirements within the harsh West African environment. Corrosion and the retention of water supplies were major priorities and lead product development.

The Japac Water Barrier products were introduced to the South African Market once a manufacturing plant had been established. The utilisation of ingenuity in the face of necessity provided a fresh approach to the production of products which could meet the unique needs of Clients within the Industrial sector.

The main features of the products are:

• Exceptional stretching and contracting properties under high or low temperatures, that remain consistent or vary quickly. Protection remains intact as products expand and contract with the expansion and contraction of the substrate.
•Outstanding anti-corrosive properties that meet environmental needs beyond the current norms. For instance, some of the types of Corrosives they withstand are as follows: environmental
corrosives, such as sea air; Industrial corrosives such as high levels of Sulphuric acids, Hydrochloric acids, zinc and ammonia chloride salts, and many others.
• Solvent free. WATER – based products
• Non - toxic to Humans and animals.
• They are in liquid form and can be sprayed or painted on to almost any type of Substrate. For instance, the types of Substratesthe products can be used on are as follows: cement, concrete, all forms of metals, Aluminium, Plastics, Fibre Glass, Earth, Wood, Brick, IBR and many others.
• Water proofing protection, that remains in place even when the area that is sealed is permanently immersed in water.

Over time demands from clients extended into the areas of Application, Refurbishment and Construction both in the Industrial and Manufacturing sector, as well as the Domestic market. These services are available in different forms, such as training of your in-house staff to enable them to apply products correctly, full refurbishment of structures and construction of new structures.
