The Cutting Room is an owner run and managed unisex hair and image studio that was established in 2005 by husband and wife team, Neil and Sherene Doveton.

The salon currently has 3 branches, one in Fish Hoek, one at Longbeach Mall and one in Bergvliet, all offering their own unique upbeat salon experiences to their valued clients.

Our Fish Hoek branch boasts an adjoining clothing boutique, Sugar Plum, as well as a small coffee shop. Whilst you are there you can catch up on work or surf the Internet (Wi-Fi Hotspot), browse through our clothing boutique or enjoy a tasty treat and a cappuccino.

Longbeach Mall has over 100 stores and restaurants on one level. Either before or after your appointment with us, you’ll find all the fun, fashion, food and homeware you need to enjoy an effortless, stress-free lifestyle!

Our Bergvliet branch is our newest acquisition and is a long established hair salon servicing the Bergvliet / Meadowridge areas and surrounds. It is situated at Glen Alpine Centre in Ladies Mile Road, where there is ample parking.

The Cutting Room is a proud Redken Premier salon. We offer a full extensive colour range and also specialise in INOAR Professional Brazilian Keratin Treatments, easihair pro hair extensions, perms, upstyles and various hair repair treatments, including but not limited to Olaplex. We also offer a professional make-up service by appointment only.

We strive to offer personal service with professional, highly qualified and friendly stylists who are constantly updating their skills and are always available to discuss, plan and create hair styles to suit your hair, mood and lifestyle!

What makes The Cutting Room even more unique is the fact that we really care for the community and have supported various organizations through the years, including Fish Hoek High School, Valley Christian Church, The Sunflower Fund, the communities of Ocean View and surrounding areas and Lakeside Fire Station.
