General information

Heli-X is a helicopter company in Cape Town operating both a flight training school and charter company that offers professional instruction to aspiring and experienced pilots, as well as bespoke tours and packages to cater for any individual, couple or group.

We are based in the Signature Building at Cape Town International Airport within the General Aviation Area. Our mission is to produce exceptional, safe and self-respecting helicopter pilots. In addition to our bespoke tours and charter packages, we also specialize in helicopter filming and private transfers.

OUR FLEET
There are currently two helicopter types in the company:

First and foremost is our two-seat Robinson RH-22, HCW. This aircraft is predominantly used for training, is equipped for night flying operations and is available to anyone with the right attributes who wishes to learn to fly. This aircraft is also available for Hire & Fly for those hour builders working towards their commercial license.

Secondly we have two four-seat Robinson RH-44 helicopters. Both machines are equipped for night flight and one of which is used for initial IF ratings. These aircraft are also used to cater for our charter requirements.

We also have a Simulator manned by dedicated Simulator Instructors. We offer daily training in the Simulator for both fixed-wing and helicopter flying – but in particular, we use it for training towards Night Ratings and Instrument Ratings.
