General information

At Ocean View we use the Montessori Philosophy of Education and teaching environment to provide our pupils with the best possible start to their education. They are nurtured, understood, supported and loved on their journey. Concepts are learnt through discovery leading to concrete learning and a firm foundation in Maths and Language and a wide general knowledge. The arts are taught by encouraging the child to participate fully in the creative process. Practical skills are part of every day, teaching independence. Gross motor development, sport and outdoor play form part of the daily routine, as does the School's involvement in Eco Schools Projects. Our staff are all qualified, experienced and long-serving and this contributes to the friendly and nurturing atmosphere at the school. Interested parents are invited to make an appointment to come and see the school in action and have a meeting with Rose or Lucy to discuss their child's admission.
