General information
From humble beginnings, the KNS brand is now born. It is the brainchild of the industrious and versatile designer Kuben Narainsamy.
Kuben has been showcased on 3 S.A Fashion Weeks. Having tailored
South African musicians, soccer stars and along list of private clientele is a testament to a company that is truly unique and
distinguished.
Inspired by 2 generation of Masters in the tailoring industry,
Grandfather Ellen Narainsamy and Dad Mike Narainsamy, Kuben
continues the Narainsamy Legacy. From the early 1960’s Grandfather Ellen’s little tailoring shop in central Durban, catered for the general public making trousers, jackets, suits and alterations. Mike joined his Dad in 1970 and it was not long after that he acquired the skills necessary to being an expert tailoring eye in designing on details. In the last 2 decades Kuben joined the business from the early age of 14 and like his father had to learn the trade.
Our mission in the next year is to make an overwhelming impact on the fashion industry and create a large consumer demand. We will continue to strive to combine our roots of traditional tailoring and fresh details into our designs to create a ready to wear collection that exudes confidence, stylish
