The Guild Theatre is a dynamic playhouse facility in East London, Eastern Cape. The Guild Theatre has been home to some of South Africa’s leading artists and emerging local performers, along with a number of international acts since 1962. The theatre is actively involved in facilitating arts education opportunities.
The theatre accommodates 490 people and hosts both commercial and non-profit productions. It is also used for various events, conferences, music concerts, and children’s theatre productions. Non-profit productions include drama, directing, and dance workshops held in townships.
