The privately owned Silkaatsnek Nature Reserve is 300 ha rough bushveld on the Northern slopes of the Magaliesberg Biosphere (listed with UNESCO). In the Hartbeespoort Dam area, at only 45 minutes from Johannesburg / Pretoria on the way to Sun City, it is the perfect location to meet some of Africa's magnificent wildlife close to the city, but still surrounded by nature! Wildlife you may encounter are giraffe, zebra, impala, kudu, nyala, blue wildebeest, blesbuck, waterbuck, ostrich, duiker, warthog and many beautiful bird species.
