Hi, MY NAME IS MONIQUE AND I LIKE TO TAKE PICTURES!

I am a Cape Town based photographer filled with immense passion and love for photography and capturing beautifully intimate moments. I am a wife and mother to two little Boston Terriers and I loooove photography, animals, fitness and relaxing with my family with a glass of wine and a bowl of popcorn. MY JOURNEY

I was brought up in the modelling and pageant industry, being a model and modelling teacher for 10 and 5 years respectively. I was a 2014 Mrs. South Africa semi-finalist and I’m therefore I am very able to guide clients during a shoot. Through this exposure I developed a love for photography and started © 2016 Lovepix Photography! I have been a professional photographer since 2014.

MY PHILOSOPHY AND APPROACH

I believe that having top class equipment is crucial but at the same time the difference between a good and great image is who is standing behind the lens! I am fully equipped, using amongst other equipment, a Canon EOS-1D Mark IV DSLR professional camera.

My photography is more than just a collage of images; to me it’s a time capsule containing a history of love and beautiful moments. I understand that in order to capture beautiful moments I must create a relaxed environment and I have the natural inclination and industry experience to do so. I am a creative and gentle spirit and love to create a fun and relaxed environment.

A wedding day is the most special day of your life and many wonderful memories will be created which I will capture for you. All you need to do is relax and enjoy your perfect day while I shoot away. I believe that a photographer must work incognito in order to capture sincere moments and therefore I will be outside of the spotlight capturing those moments – let us make magic and create a fairy tale together!

MY STYLE

My style has been described as creative, fun, relaxed and professional. I prefer working with natural light but am fully equipped for the evening sessions! I aim to produce a collage of both spontaneous and editorial images to find a balance between a natural and showpiece collection.

I work closely with my clients and as explained in My Philosophy and Approach above, I will guide you if you do not feel fully comfortable in front of a camera, so relax and enjoy! I love to help and will assist you in planning so that your investment is maximized!
