GRACELAND ECO RETREAT

General information

The retreat is situated on 85 Hectare spanning the valley and is ideal for hiking and birding enthusiasts, although total relaxation is also encouraged.

Bordering on the forests and plantations of Magoebaskloof and the Woodbush Forest Reserve, Graceland offers guests the opportunity to enjoy a unique kind of Bushveld. The retreat overlooks the Kudu River Valley with views all the way to Mooketsi and the mountain range beyond.

The area is famous for its unique birdlife and the mountain bushveld with its granite formations and boulders is home to such birds as the Verreaux, Crowned and Long-Crested Eagle, Lanner Falcon, Alpine and African Black Swift as well as the famous African Fish Eagle.

Situated roughly 50km North-East of Polokwane the retreat offers an opportunity to view a variety of small game including our giraffes named Elvis, Priscilla, Lisa Marie and baby Memphis born in September 2016. There are also some Kudu, Impala, Klipspringer and Waterbuck. You may catch a glimpse of them whilst hiking, enjoying your morning coffee or sundowners on one of our terraces, pergolas or at the splash pool with a view of the valley.
Graceland Eco Retreat is totally off the grid and uses solar power for all lights and geysers without compromising on creature comforts. Solar powered batteries are available to charge cell phones and tablets.
Although we offer a 24 hour WIFI connection the cell phone connection and quality fluctuates, something we aim to enjoy along with no television.
Graceland is a work in progress and as we develop the retreat additional accommodation and services will become available keeping the needs of our guests in mind.

The hikes will take you through the most dramatic panoramic views of the Kudu River Valley, the mountain bushvelt with its granite formations and boulders which is home to so many kinds for birds. In a few days stay with us, the peacefulness of the nature will invigorate your body and soul into total harmony.
