We at DCLM Pride ourselves in putting the Environment first. Whilst our core business is a H:H Landfill, based in Stanger KZN, we consider ourselves passionate ambassadors for the Environment: Nothing is committed to the earth without first asking our Client's the three most important questions:

If there is no alternative but to landfill, our stringent classification & treatment procedures ensure that any waste stream that is landfilled in the Kwadukuza H:H Landfill is done so in strict accordance with International Best Practise, as well as local and National Environmental Legislation.
- Total Land Area of 140.6 hectares
- 49.2 hectares of this is permitted for H:H /Class A landfilling.
- Total Airspace of up to 20 million cubic meters, to be divided into 13 separate cells.
- As of October 2014, cell
1 with an airspace of 700 thousand cubic meters has been fully exploited and temporarily capped.
- Cell 2, with an expected airspace of 1.3 million cubic meters, is now being exploited.
- The company anticipates to start the building of cell 3 towards 2019 with a start of operation the same year.
- DCLM operates the landfill according to the highest international waste management standards, by applying the latest innovation in landfill engineering and science.
Dolphin Coast Environmental Laboratory Solutions (DCELS) is an independent Verification Laboratory which services our Client's needs to classify their hazardous waste. DCELS utilises the expertise of
engineers, senior chemistry researches, environmental, legal, water, air quality, waste management & laboratory specialists all of whom have extensive knowledge and expertise on the underlining principles pertaining to sustainable Environmental & Laboratory Solutions. The other is the testing laboratory for DCLM’s Effluent Treatment Facility.
DCELS seeks to create techniques that are essentially waste free, to assist in the reduction of waste to landfill. The ‘cradle to cradle’ concept is used to logically develop recycling initiatives, thus developing techniques to recover valuable materials from resources, which can be utilised in alternate processes. In essence DCELS has the ability to take your waste and make it valuable!

South African Waste Management Regulations, undertaking the onerous tasks of classification of waste streams, establishment of Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
Known as DCT, our Transport Division owns an extensive fleet of vehicles ranging from RoRo’s, Skip loaders, REL’s, Long Haulers, Side tipper trucks, Super Sucker/ Vacuum tankers and Drum carriers. DCT is therefore ideally placed to offer a service that encompasses the entire transportation and logistic spectrum, including specialized cleaning, waste storage, waste management and waste transportation, for both general and hazardous liquid/solid waste streams.
DCT owns an extensive fleet of 30m³ side tipper trucks, as well as subcontracting agreements with interprovincial and local transporters for more than 250 45m³ super-link side tippers. DCT currently transports more than 15 000 tons of waste per month, and therefore have the expertise and resources to meet our Clients’ strict time constraints.For all types of hazardous waste, DCT provides environmentally sound, timely and cost-effective solutions. Our drivers are trained and certified, and all vehicles are permitted for transporting hazardous waste streams.DCT removes hazardous waste from mines, building sites, refineries, the ports, companies, factories and plants generating hazardous waste streams. In addition, DCLM landfill site is licensed to accept waste streams that require special handling and disposal. These wastes types include asbestos.
The safe removal of hazardous materials
for transportation and disposal requires expert knowledge in chemical identification, compatibility and consolidation, as well as extensive, up to date knowledge in Hazardous Waste Regulations. Our Waste Management Service Representatives, supported by a staff of Chemists, Compliance Specialists and Transportation Advisors, guide our Clients
to an easy understanding of the New Waste Management Regulations, and remove the tedious task of Classification of waste streams,
establishment of a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and the basic assessment to landfill from the Generator, thereby ensuring compliance to legislation. DCT have all the checks in place to ensure that the legal requirements pertaining to the safe handling and transportation of dangerous goods are met. All vehicles and associated trailers are licensed as Dangerous Goods Carriers, and comply with the National Road Traffic Act 93 of 1996, the National Road Traffic Regulations of 2000 and the associated SANS Codes.
