“Until June 2013, we were teaching boxing, kickboxing and running a fitness bootcamp inside a cramped space in Onepoto Park, Porirua. We became so popular so fast we had to expand or we knew we would be in danger of losing it all! More on that to come.

Sam comes from an ex-competitive swimming & coaching background and I have experience in competitive Mixed-Martial Arts (MMA) & strength and conditioning training. Having a rock-solid coaching background from these disciplines allowed us to provide an amazing service for our clients.

We were absolutely blown away by the results we got from CrossFit and have been passionately hooked ever since. In 2009, Sam discovered a new passion: CrossFit.

In fact, it came to a point where Sam and I were so passionate and inspired by the CrossFit lifestyle that we wanted to share our experiences, because we knew how much it would help others just like us! We had a vision to build a CrossFit gym in Porirua, and opened WOF CrossFit.

We believe that the CrossFit lifestyle is the pathway to a more healthier and active life and our goal at WOF CrossFit is to help you achieve that!

* We believe in multi- joint exercise using bodyweight and free weights (you won’t find any machines here because we don’t use machines, we build them!)
